Read and Print Gesture Synth Chord Sheets

Gesture Synth sheet music is different from a conventional melody score. The live instrument maps a left-hand scale degree to the chord root and a right-hand shape to chord quality, inversion or seventh colour. These charts therefore show bars, chord names and gesture targets rather than staff notation for every sung or instrumental note.

The three complete practice arrangements below are based on public-domain music and match the built-in offline song library. They contain no uploaded recordings. Use your browser's Print command to create a paper copy or Save as PDF, then return to the live song picker to receive one target at a time.

How to Read a Gesture Synth Chord Sheet

The Roman numeral is the left-hand scale degree in the selected key. The chord label tells you what the browser should display. A basic quality uses the right-hand triad shape; first inversion moves the third to the bass; major-seven or dominant-seven targets use the corresponding right-hand seventh quality. A low marker asks for the right-thumb octave control.

Practise the left-hand degree alone before adding the right-hand quality. The chart is successful when the on-screen chord label matches the target and stays stable through the beat. It is not a guitar fingering chart, a piano melody transcription or a replacement for licensed sheet music of copyrighted songs.

  • Degree I–V: show one to five left-hand fingers.
  • Degree VI: use the left index-and-little-finger shape.
  • Quality 1–4: choose triad, inversion, seventh or dominant/diminished seventh with the right hand.
  • Low octave: extend the right thumb while keeping the intended quality visible.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Gesture Chart

Set the key to C and the tempo to 92 BPM. The eight-bar practice sequence starts with simple tonic and subdominant movement, then introduces first inversion, major seventh, dominant seventh and a low tonic. Work in two-bar groups before attempting the complete cycle.

Chart: bar 1 C (I, major triad); bar 2 F/A then C (IV first inversion, I triad); bar 3 F then Cmaj7 (IV triad, I major seventh); bar 4 G7 then C (V dominant seventh, I triad); bars 5–8 C low, G/B, F, C.

Ode to Joy Gesture Chart

Set the key to D and use 108 BPM only after the shapes are reliable at a slower tempo. The arrangement practises D, G and A primary chords, two first inversions, a dominant seventh and one B minor target that switches to the minor world on degree VI.

Chart: bar 1 D then A/C♯; bar 2 D; bar 3 G then D/F♯; bar 4 A7 then D; bars 5–8 Bm, A low, G/B, D. Keep the displayed chord stable before matching the stored tempo.

Amazing Grace Chart and Print Checklist

Set the key to G and begin near 76 BPM. Chart: bars 1–4 G low, Cmaj7 then G, D7, G; bars 5–8 Em, C then G/B, D7, G. This slower chart combines low octave, major seventh, dominant seventh, minor-world degree VI and first inversion.

Before printing, choose portrait orientation, enable background graphics only if you want the coloured page styling and inspect the preview for all four chart sections and the FAQ. The browser-generated PDF is a copy of this independent guide, not an official edition or uploaded score.

  • Print only after the complete guide has loaded.
  • Write your preferred practice BPM beside each song.
  • Circle transitions that cause a recognition error.
  • Use the live picker to verify the printed target against the instrument.
